From the Desk of God’s Precious
Pearls
“For they shall be mine,” says the Lord of Hosts, “on that day that I
make them my jewels, and I will spear them as a man spares his own son who
serves him.” Malachi 3:17

Good morning “Precious Pearls”
I pray you had a wonderful weekend and today you are having
a blessed Labor Day.
Many of us are experiencing some sort of ailments. It may be physical, emotional, mental, even relationship,
financial or spiritual. Whatever the
need, I want to encourage you that there is hope and healing in and through
Jesus Christ………Let’s feed from His Word…..Luke
5:17-26 NKJV.
Jesus connected healing with forgiveness and this indicates
that He desires wholeness in every area of need in our lives. Forgiveness of sin is our greatest need. We were conceived in sin and even though we
have given our lives to the LORD Jesus, in our weakness we continue to sin
daily in thoughts, words or deeds. This
blocks or hinders our relationship with the LORD and also prevents healing in
our lives.
Our healing is aided by the love, prayers, encouragement and
compassion of others. It was compassion
and love that moved Jesus to minister to those in need. It is not believing how “anointed we think,
or how deserving we are” “Love covers a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter
4:8
The friends of the paralytic man in Luke 5:17-26 were desperate and determined for their friend to be
healed. They had faith to believe that
if they just bring him in and lay him before Jesus, he would be
healed. Just as the woman with the issue
of blood believed that if she only but touched the hem of Jesus’ garments
she would be healed. Matthew 9:21.
Luke 5:19 tells us
they could not find a way to bring him in, so with determination and
desperation they thought of a way. “And
when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd,
they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed through the tiling
into the midst before Jesus” v 20.
“When He saw their
faith, He said to him. “Man, your sins are forgiven you.” Jesus, being GOD Himself, knew exactly what
this man needed and so does He, with each of us…….He sees our deepest
needs. Note also, scripture did not say,
“the man’s faith.” It said, “their faith.” Who is standing in faith with us in agreement
for our healing and deliverance? Left to
the religious group, the Pharisees and teachers of the law, this man would not
have received his healing.
Jesus perceived the doubt in their hearts. “…………..why
are you reasoning in your hearts?” Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven
you.’ Or to say, ‘Rise up and walk?” V22b-23.
The paralyzed man would simply pick
up his bed with his baggage of sins which held him captive and paralyzed for so
long and would quite likely not having received his healing. He would not have received the rest for his
soul. “But that you many know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive
sins” He said
to the man who was paralyzed, “I say
to you, arise, take up your bed, and to your house.” V 24 NKJV
His sins were forgiven.
The burden of sin was released…..he was set free to receive his healing.
“Immediately he rose up before
them, took up what he had been lying on, and departed to his own house,
glorifying GOD.” What had he been
lying on? What held him down? Where had
he been? “He departed to his own house.”
Whatever situation we face, let us first examine ourselves
and first of all repent for any sins known and unknown, ask the LORD to forgive
us, deliver us and heal us.
I had to do just that many years ago after making the choice
of my brief first marriage. Two weeks
after my marriage, I saw the trouble I had put myself in. I repented for not praying about it even
though I saw the red flags. I promised
the LORD I would not do one thing without consulting with him in prayer. That evening he gave me full instructions and
from then led me on the way……Back to school for further studies and trips
across the oceans; unexpected promotions, Divine visitations and led me to the
place He was preparing for me. Where He
took me was not in my plan, nor choice, but His. Here He blessed me with a wonderful husband
of 33+ years and a lovely family. It is
good to recognize the hand of GOD in our lives.
May the LORD bless and minister to you from these His
inspired words. May we receive healing
and restoration in every area of our lives as we repent of our sins and ask the
LORD for forgiveness. May the LORD bless
and keep you always.
In His service.
