From the Desk
of “God’s Precious Pearls”

How
often have we pondered and concerned ourselves with wanting to make sure we are
in Father’s will? This is the heartfelt
cry and longing for the child of GOD. I
know it is for me and even so much more recently.
Sometimes
for whatever reason we go off course and become less focused on our mission and
GOD given assignment. Sometimes it was
not a matter of wasting time, but doing what we often think that this “good
thing, was a GOD thing.”
Recently
as I have been seeking the LORD, I sense the tug in my spirit to stay on focus
and concentrate on my mission and assignment.
I am sharing this, because I know that this is the heartfelt cry of all
His children. I have personally
experienced derailment in the work He has instructed me to do as I serve
elsewhere. There is nothing wrong with
serving elsewhere, but we must give account for our assignment and make it a
priority.
Sometimes
our derailment causes pain, disappointment and not wanting to move on. Even now
we know of many leaders who have given up because of pain and disappointment. As it is for me and one who is called to
encourage the Body of Christ….. “God’s Precious Pearls,” His Bride, I am encouraging you not to lose heart. I know I am speaking to many at this time. Even as I am encouraging myself, I encourage
you also to revisit your mission and GOD given assignment; whatever that
assignment may be.
Sometimes
we want to be validated and approved by man and if we do not have that we feel
we were not called in the first place.
The LORD has delivered me from that fear. As He spoke to my heart, it was not man who
called us in the first place, He did.
Man cannot and quite likely would not have called us because they do not
see nor know our hearts. Sometimes they
see what GOD has placed there and find it hard to encourage us. Instead they may want us to feel that there
is something wrong with us….we may be “grandiose or delusional, off course or strange.” With GOD’s help as we recognize where we have
fallen short, we repent from doubting our assignment and in returning we will
find rest and the anointing to pick up the pieces and move on. In times like these we need a Savior and we
are the hands extended for the Savior.
I
never forget my dear mother from whom I gleaned the gift of hospitality. She did not have a pulpit ministry, but she
served the LORD faithfully through encouragement and the ministry of helps within
the church and her community. I never
forget the Sunday evening she felt lost because there was no more “Goddie Mary,”
to take the Sunday dinner and cool tropical drink to. Every Sunday, she made
sure the dear elderly lady in our village received her Sunday dinner. We would feel like “Little Red Riding Hood”
as we trotted through the coffee and coco trees to her little house to deliver
her dinner. “Goddie Mary” passed away
quietly and suddenly without any warning, other than, “feeling tired.” She asked her neighbor, not to leave for the
market and on checking on her shortly after, she was gone. Only moments before that she was giving her final
instructions on her tiny estate and funeral arrangement. At age 93, never having
had a Doctor’s visit, she walked around her property doing odds and ends then laid
down to rest before her flight.
On
returning from the city, I learned of her passing. I went to her tiny home and as a trained
nurse, I laid her body out so that rigor mortise would not set in and the undertakers
having problems preparing her body for burial.
I
sensed a satisfaction in mother as she knew she had fulfilled her then given
assignment and it was time to listen for the next.
It
is before GOD and GOD alone that we have to stand and give account for the
assignments and talents He has given to us for His Glory. No excuse will answer for us
I
speak to that weary and discouraged soul today and even as I encourage myself……..
“Do not lose heart, it is GOD who called us in the first place….. “And we know that all things work together
for good to them that love GOD, to them who are the called according to His
purpose. For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to
the image of His Son that He might be the first-born among many brethren.
Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called and whom He called, them
He also justified; and whom He justified, them he also glorified. What shall we
then say to these things? If GOD be for us, who can be against us?’ Romans 8:28-31 KJV
My
prayer is that our hearts will be quickened again to visit that place and do
not lose heart. As I am encouraging you,
I too am encouraged. Let us …….. “lay
aside every weight, and the sin which do so easily beset us, and let us run
with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the Author and
Finisher of our faith…………..” (Reference
Hebrews 12: 1-2) The LORD may have called you to simply
send greeting cards to the sick and shut in.
Let us be faithful in the little things and He will bless us with the
bigger things.
Much
love, Blessings and Prayers as we serve our LORD Jesus.
